Data Protection Declaration


During your visit to our homepage it is very important to us to protect your personal information when collecting, processing, and using it. Your information is protected according to legal provisions. Below you will find information about the data which is recorded during your visit to our homepage and how this information is used.  
 
 
1. Collecting and Processing Data
1.1. Every time our homepage or a file stored on our homepage is accessed this is logged and recorded to prevent abuse. The information logged and recorded includes the IP address of the accessing computer, the name of the accessed file, the date and time of the access, the volume of data transmitted, notification of successful access, web browser, and accessing domain.
 
This information is anonymised also for statistical purposes using Google Analytics and recorded and analysed. The anonymisation is done by removing the last 8 bits of the IP address, making it no longer possible to clearly allocate the data collected to a certain IP address.
 
Google Analytics uses cookies which are text files that are saved on your computer and which enable an analysis of your use of this website. The information generated by cookies pertaining to your use of this website is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
 
You can block the installation of cookies by changing a setting in your browser software. However, we would like to point out that if you do so, you might not be able to take full advantage of the features of this website. By using this website, you agree to Google processing the data collected about you in the manner and purpose described above.

1.2. Your personal data will be further collected if you:
 

  • register as a user on the MED TRUST website,
  • send MED TRUST contact requests via the form of the MED TRUST website,
  • use the wish list or the shopping cart of the MED TRUST website or

The information is saved exclusively by MED TRUST and transmitted if needed because it is required to fulfil the contract with you or because you consented to MED TRUST processing and transmitting your personal information. If you do not provide personal information, the enhanced features of the MED TRUST website, as described below, might be unavailable or only available to a limited extent.
 
1.3. MED TRUST processes the following personal information:
 
1.3.1 If you register as a user of the MED TRUST website, MED TRUST will process information to make the extended features of the MED TRUST website available. This information includes wish list, order management and subscription to the newsletter, your name, your greeting (with that your sex and information about whether you are a natural or legal person), e-mail address, company name, telephone number, address, delivery address including name or name of the recipient of the delivery, if you would like to receive the Wellion Newsletter by MED TRUST, a password of your choice, and whether or not you have agreed to the MED TRUST‘s General Terms and Conditions.
 
By checking the box “I consent to the processing of my personal information as outlined in MED TRUST‘s Data Privacy Statement” upon registering on MED TRUST‘s website, you consent to this data processing. You can revoke your consent at any time without giving reasons by e-mailing  office@medtrust.at or sending a letter to MED TRUST Handelsgesm.b.H., Gewerbepark 10, 7221 Marz, Austria.
 
1.3.2 If you send inquiries or messages to MED TRUST using the contact form on MED TRUST‘s website, MED TRUST uses the information to handle your enquiry which includes your name, your greeting (with that your sex and information about whether you are a natural or legal person), e-mail address, company name, telephone number, address, your message, the clerk at MED TRUST handling your enquiry and any other correspondence with you in connection with this. Furthermore, to combat abuse, MED TRUST processes the transmission time (date and time) of your message, the IP address of the computer used to send the message, as well as if you have entered the verification code on the contact form correctly. This last piece of information is intended to combat abuse. Processing information in this manner is also required to safeguard the legitimate interests of MED TRUST.

1.3.3 If you use the wish list or shopping cart on MED TRUST‘s website, MED TRUST will process more information in addition to the information discussed in Point 1.3.1 to be able to provide you with the features of the wish list. This additional information includes the name, the description, and the price. In the case of the shopping cart, MED TRUST will also process the number of products which you placed on the wish list or in the shopping cart.
 
By checking the box “I consent to the processing of my personal information as outlined in MED TRUST‘s Data Privacy Statement” upon registering on MED TRUST‘s website, you consent to this data processing. You can revoke your consent at any time without giving reasons by e-mailing office@medtrust.at or sending a letter to MED TRUST Handelsgesm.b.H., Gewerbepark 10, 7221 Marz, Austria. The information collected that goes beyond that mentioned in Point 1.3.1 will be deleted if you ordered the items in the shopping cart or if you haven’t used the shopping cart or the wish list on MED TRUST‘s website for one month.
 
1.3.4 Additional information about data privacy regulations when using the ordering system on MED TRUST ‘s website is available in MED TRUST‘s General Terms and Conditions . Providing the information described therein is required to fulfil the contract; not providing the information can impede or even prevent order processing. With regard to Point 11.1. of the General Terms and Conditions and the purpose referred to therein (processing contracts and preserving evidence) health information might be processed (especially in connection with the ordered products). 2. Cookies
With the help of cookies, information on the website can be adapted to your needs. Cookies are little files which contain information that allows us to know which pages you access on our website. This is necessary for certain features of our website, like the shopping cart. In order to provide you with the highest possible shopping convenience, MED TRUST uses persistent cookies. These expire after only five hours to comply with the principle of data economy.
 
3. Your Right to Information, Cancellation, and Deletion
Upon written request we are happy to inform you about the information saved about you. In order to combat abuse, we ask you to verify your identity to MED TRUST in a suitable way such as by presenting valid photo ID. If your personal information is saved as a result of consent you have given, and if there is no legal ground or legal obligation to continue processing your data, such as for legal proceedings or to comply with tax provisions, this information will be deleted by us immediately after your consent has been revoked. Furthermore, you have the right to correct your personal information, to limit how it is processed, to data portability, and the right, for reasons particular to your special situation to object to the processing of your personal information.
 
4. Security Note
We are endeavoured to store your personal information in such a way that is inaccessible for third parties. We do this by making use of all technical and organisational possibilities. When communicating by e-mail we are unable to ensure complete data security. For this reason, we recommend sending confidential information by letter mail.

At MED TRUST the office or employee will receive your information which/who requires it for processing the information mentioned above.

MED TRUST does not engage in automated decision-making/profiling.
 
8. Right of Appeal
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, especially in the member state of your residence, your place of work, or the location of the alleged violation if you believe that the processing of your personal information violated the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation); in Austria it is the data protection authority.
