Wellion SAFETYLANCETS have a predefined penetration depth. The needle is concealed within the housing before and after use. This may help reduce anxiety associated with finger-prick procedures. The ergonomic, ready-to-use design facilitates handling, as no separate lancing device is required.
Use is simple: twist off the protective cap and press the Wellion SAFETYLANCET lancet firmly against the desired puncture site on the fingertip. Contact pressure automatically triggers the puncture.
Wellion SAFETYLANCET are suitable for both personal use and routine medical practice, including medical practices, hospitals and nursing homes. After use, the needle automatically retracts into the housing. This reduces both the risk of reuse and the risk of needlestick injuries to lay users, healthcare professionals and third parties.
Good to know: Needle diameter is expressed in gauge (G). The higher the gauge number, the smaller and finer the needle diameter. A 25G lancet is therefore thinner than a 21G lancet.
